What is B Corp? 

B Corp stands for “Benefit Corporation” and represents a rapidly growing network of companies that excel in transparency, social responsibility, and sustainability. As a B Corp, we are committed to giving back more value to society than we take. We aim to be good ancestors for future generations, striving to create a better world. 

Becoming a B Corp is no small feat. It involves a rigorous assessment where companies are evaluated across five key areas: governance, employees, community, environment, and customers. Since 2014, Alfa had been a proud B Corp, making it one of the pioneers in the Netherlands. During the merger between Alfa and ABAB, we successfully completed the periodic recertification process for the new organization. We’re proud that aaff has been certified as a B Corp right from the start. 

Why B Corp? 

For us, being a B Corp means recognizing sustainable business as the only way forward. We believe that the change we want to see in the world begins with us. That’s why, like every B Corp, we have signed the Declaration of Interdependence.

Our B Corp ambitions 

Together with over 500 other B Corps, Alfa previously committed to the Net Zero 2030 goal. As aaff, we remain steadfast in achieving this target. This means we aim to reduce our net greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2030. We are making significant strides by generating our own solar energy, conserving energy in our buildings, and ensuring no new fossil fuel-powered lease vehicles are added to our fleet since 2021.
