Frequently asked questions
What does the name aaff stand for?
aaff is simply aaff. It is not an acronym and does not have a dictionary meaning. Most people know Aaf as a typical Dutch girl's or boy's name. This makes the sound of aaff recognizable, easy to remember, and easy to pronounce. But with that second 'f', it's just a little bit different. Although aaff is not an acronym, there is a nod to its origin (Alfa and ABAB) and our profession: advisors and accountants.
Why do ABAB and Alfa believe they are stronger together?
Firstly, because the job market is incredibly tight. Finding new talent is becoming an increasingly greater challenge. We believe that together we can tackle this. But also, towards our customers, we are stronger together. With our combined locations, we are close by everywhere. Then there are the economies of scale. A potential merger offers opportunities to further expand our services, to invest in further digitalization, and to achieve the necessary transition to sustainability. Lastly, we believe that an organisation based on employee equity is a much better idea than opting for private equity. Together, we believe we can build a beautiful, human-focused organisation. And also, an organisation that values sustainability and is truly meaningful. For our customers and colleagues, for our stakeholders, and for the world around us.
What impact does the merger have on the services provided to customers?
Through the collaboration, we can further improve our services. Our employees and the offices of Alfa and ABAB will remain nearby.
When will I encounter the new name?
We will use the new name in all communications, campaigns, websites, social media, etc., starting from January 2025. Until then, we will continue to communicate with ABAB and Alfa.
Will Epiic and Innovencio continue to exist?
Both organisations will continue to exist under their current names.
